Equivalency Information

Dear All List Members!

Wafaqi Urdu University (FUU) has announced to provide equivalency certification to DHMS, BHMS (Graded), BHMS (Classified) and BEMS graduates. The equivalency procedure will be completed in three phases.

1. Simple DHMS: Must have been passed F.Sc (Pre-Medical) and Graduation in any subject (B.A, B.Com, B.Sc, BHMS Graded, BHMS Classified, BEMS, BCS Computer Science or BLIS Library Science)

2. BHMS (Graded): Must have been passed F.Sc (Pre-Medical) along with DHMS diploma.

3. BHMS (Classified 4 years or 5 years): Must have been passed F.Sc (Pre-Medical) along with DHMS diploma.

4. BEMS: Must have been passed F.Sc (Pre-Medical), Diploma DHMS and BEMS Degree.

First obtain equivalency proforma from WAFAQI URDU UNIVERSITY GULSHAN CAMPUS KARACHI or National Council for Homeopathy. Fill the forms and attach required documents (mentioned in advertisement or back of the form). First the forms first will be submitted to National Council for Homeopathy with Rs. 2000 Draft.

a. Rs. 500/- in the name of Registrar NCH

b.   Rs. 1500/- payable to Registrar Wafaqi Urdu University National Bank Gulshan Campus Branch Karachi.

Registrar after verification of your diploma DHMS, will forward your form to Wafaqi Urdu University directly for the provision of equivalency.Those who have not done F.Sc (Pre-Medical).

   a. If you have done F.A or I.Com and Graduation in any subject (B.A, B.Com, B.Sc, BHMS Graded, BHMS Classified, BEMS, BCS Computer Science or BLIS Library Science) then you have to appear in Biology and Chemistry subjects of F.Sc standard. Concise Syllabus is available with Wafaqi Urdu University. The exams are expected in August/November 2010. So till then prepare yourself for appearing in extra paper exams.

   b. If you are simple matric then you have to wait to appear in all compulsory subjects like English, Islamyat and Pakistan Studies including Biology and Chemistry of F.Sc standard. The exams will likely to be held in next year Jan 2011.

   c.  Few BEMS qualified Hakeems have also done DHMS. This is a good opportunity for them also to obtain Graduation Equivalency in Homeopathy as well to become a registered Graduate Homeopathic Doctor beside a qualified Hakeem. This will enable you to apply for license as Homeopathic Doctor also in United Arab Emirates (UAE * Dubai etc) where Homeopathic Doctors are allowed start homeopathic practice. 

Few Homeopathic Doctors are not interested in appearing in any subjects of F.Sc Standard. They have right plea that when they have obtained a status diploma like DHMS that is equated to B.Sc then it is illogical to appear in lower grade subject like biology and chemistry  of F.Sc standard. For them, Gujrat Homeopathic Doctors Community and Graduate Homeopathic Medical Association GHMS are pursuing a case in Wafaqi Mohtasib and Law and Justice Division of Pakistan. The provision of equivalency from IBCC and HEC is also consideration where Ministry of Education has agreed to provide DHMS passed homeopathic doctors without appearing in Biology and Chemistry. The whole case is sent to President of Pakistan for final approval. If you do not want to appear in Bio or Chem exam then wait for IBCC/HEC final decision. IT IS EXPECTED IN TWO MONTHS TIME. SO WAIT.

Gujrat Homeopathic Doctors Community and Graduate Homeopathic Medical Association (GHMA) with collaboration of Pakistan Scientist Association (Livestock) has set up GUJRAT NATIONAL CENTER FOR HOMEOPATHY SWIFT CENTER to guide and provide up-to date information. Forms will also be available with at Gujrat Center on payment. Our staff will help homeopathic doctors for processing of applications free of cost.
