Graduate Homeopathic Medical Association (GHMA) with the collaboration of  Gujrat-Pakistan Homeopathic Doctors Communities (GHDC) filed a request at WAFAQI MOHTASIB directorate to issue DHMS equivalency upto B.Sc similar with Nursing Diploma. WAFAQI MOHTASIB called National Council for Homeopathy and Higher Education Commission to find the solution.

Higher Education Commission  (HEC) then met wtih National Council for Homeopathy (NCH) to get approval from the HEC recognized universities on DHMS diploma. HEC sent a proposal letters to all 22 general universities of public and private sectors of Pakistan.

GHDC and DHMA followed all correspondence  with all universities. Four universities in their letters supported DHMS diploma to be equated as B.Sc and two universities approved with condition.

(Letters are available on web)

After receiving recommendations from universities, HEC advised to get equivalency from Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC) also on the first two years of DHMS course as equal to F.Sc so that case may be further processed for B.Sc equivalency.

GHMA / GHDC again filed a request to Wafaqi Mohtasib to called IBCC. IBCC in its proposal said, if Ministry of Education approves new scheme of study F.Sc (Homeopathy) then it would be having no objection to issue equivalency on 1st two years of total four years DHMS Diploma Course.

Dr. MAS designed new scheme of studies and contacted to National Council for Homeopathy. GHMA & GHDC met all national council for Homeopathy members during meeting at Margala Hotel and requested to approve new scheme of study for F.Sc (Homeo) for onward submission to Ministry of Education for final approval.

Ministry of Education after receiving the letter and meeting with NCH officials, approved  scheme of study as F.Sc (Homeo).

During this process, Punjab University, Govt College University, Quaid Azam University, Noshera University, Wafaqi Urdu University and Dow University of Health Sciences not only issued notifications to support DHMS diploma to be equated as B.Sc but Wafaqi Urdu University took bold step and  also announced to provide equivalency at its own end. It was great break through. All was done with the mutual effort, cooperation and collaboration of Pakistan Homeopathic Communities and NCH.

In the mean time, the execution time given by Wafaqi Mohtasib to all agencies (NCH, IBCC, HEC & MOE) was collapsed. Wafaqi Mohtasib has started disciplinary action against those agencies who played delay tactics. In this regard, Ministry of Education has filed a prayer request to President of Pakistan. GHMA / GHDC has also contacted Law and Justice Division.
